A PandaDoc alternative for proposals, SOWs and order forms

Tally Sign is e-signature built for Salesforce and simple enough to use without a CRM. Teams look at Tally Sign when they want the same kind of document building with no limit on documents, redlines on the page with every version kept, ChatGPT and Claude able to draft and send, and, if they sell in Salesforce, Revenue Cloud quote-to-cash after signing.

About PandaDoc

PandaDoc is document software for proposals, quotes and contracts, with e-signature built in and integrations for CRMs including Salesforce.

Plans, limits and features change, so check PandaDoc's own pricing and documentation for how it handles the questions below. This page describes Tally Sign, and every answer links to where you can see it in the product.

Price
$20 per user a month without a CRM, or $200 a month for every 5 users with Salesforce. Every feature is on both plans; the Salesforce plan adds the Salesforce package.
See how
Envelope limits
None. Documents, envelopes, templates, signers and automations aren't counted. The terms have a fair-use clause against bulk mail.
See how
Who needs a seat
People who send, reply to customers or decide on change requests. Customers never do. In Salesforce, people who only look at status, signed documents and internal notes don't either.
See how
Salesforce objects
Any standard or custom object. The package adds a Send with Tally Sign action to Account, Contract, Opportunity, Order and Quote, and the component goes on any record page.
See how
Documents from records
Templates are built on the page. Drag any field, through lookups, into a sentence; pricing tables fill from quote lines, opportunity products or a related list. Preview with a real record before you publish.
See how
Revenue Cloud Advanced
Quote lines as Revenue Cloud stores them: groups, ramp segments, billing frequencies and $0 bundle components. After signing it can mark the quote Accepted, create and submit the order, create assets and a contract, with Revenue Cloud's standard actions.
See how
Salesforce CPQ
CPQ quotes and their lines work in the document, with the primary contact as the signer. After signing it updates the quote's fields, files the signed PDF and notifies the rep.
See how
After signing
Update fields on the record (a stage, a status, the signed date, a link), save the signed PDF to the record's Files and notify the rep in Salesforce. Every document sent from Salesforce is an Envelope record you can report on.
See how
Negotiation
Signers ask questions, suggest edits to the wording and request changes to pricing on the signing page. You reply, accept or decline from Tally Sign or from the record in Salesforce, and a new version goes out. Every version is kept.
See how
Automation
Rules such as “when a quote is approved, send the order form” are deployed to your org as record-triggered Flows, with a test mode and a log of every run. Flow and Agentforce actions send, check status, remind and void.
See how
AI
A built-in MCP server with 25 tools: ChatGPT, Claude and Claude Code draft, edit and send documents, and ask before anything is sent. The editor's assistant writes and changes templates.
See how
Your existing contracts
Upload a PDF or Word (.docx) file. A PDF keeps its pages and you place fields on them; a Word file becomes text you can edit. Text tags such as \s1\ or {{signature:client}} in the file become signing fields.
See how
Signers
An email address is all they need. They sign in the browser on a phone, tablet or computer, with no account, and can draw or type their signature. Signing in person on your device works too.
See how
Proof of signing
Every view, consent and signature is logged with the time, IP address and device. The signed PDF ends with a Certificate of Completion.
See how
Without Salesforce
The $20 plan: templates, PDF and Word uploads, signing on any device, negotiation, reminders, Slack, Teams, webhooks and the MCP server. Connect Salesforce later and everything carries over.

Questions to ask PandaDoc, and us

Plans and features change. These are the questions that decide the price and the day-to-day work for a Salesforce team.

  • Is there a cap on envelopes per user or per year, and what happens when you reach it?
  • Is the Salesforce integration part of the plan you're buying, or a higher tier or add-on?
  • Do people who only look at status and signed documents in Salesforce need a paid seat?
  • Can templates read Revenue Cloud Advanced or CPQ quote lines, including ramps and bundles, without extra setup?
  • What happens in Salesforce after signing: can the quote be accepted and the order created without someone clicking?
  • Can customers suggest edits on the document, and do you see exactly what changed?
  • Can ChatGPT, Claude or your own agents create and send documents, and do they ask first?
  • Does the signer need an account or an app?

What Tally Sign doesn't do today

If you need one of these, choose a tool that has it. Tally Sign identifies each signer by the email address their signing link was sent to.

  • Signer identity checks beyond email, such as SMS codes, ID document checks or knowledge-based questions
  • Remote online notarization
  • Qualified electronic signatures under the EU's eIDAS rules
  • More than one Salesforce org connected to the same Tally Sign account at once

Questions

Can we bring the contracts we send today?

Yes. Upload them as PDF or Word (.docx) files. A PDF keeps its pages and you place the signature fields on them; a Word file becomes text you can edit. Text tags such as \s1\ in the file become signing fields on their own.

Do our customers need an account?

No. They need an email address. They open the link and sign in the browser on any device, with nothing to install.

Can we start without Salesforce?

Yes. The $20 plan works on its own. Connect Salesforce later and your templates, documents and team carry over to the Salesforce plan.

How long does setup take for Revenue Cloud?

A guided setup in Tally Sign checks your org for Revenue Cloud, Orders, Contracts, Billing and multi-currency, walks through eight steps and ends with a test order form sent to you.

Is “no limit” really no limit?

Yes, for normal business use. The terms include a fair-use clause so one account can't use Tally Sign to send bulk mail.
